 TED ROSE - MORNINGS 6AM-10AM

A 1977 graduate of Loveland High, well it was more of a case of them asking me to leave and giving me the diploma as part of our “legal agreement”.

I then joined the U.S. Army and was sent off to Korea for a year. One day I’ll let you know what “Nimi Shimi Pek Pogi Da” means... be prepared to get knocked on you’re butt if someone understands Korean!! From there it was Radio all the way...well, sort of. After my first on air experience in Great Falls Montana I was so bad they fired me, but to let you know how bad radio is in Great Falls, they re-hired me FULL TIME after someone quit! As a family we have learned to leave our bags packed because you just never know what’s going to happen tomorrow! Then it was simple moves from Montana to Florida to Pennsylvania to North Carolina back to Pennsylvania back to Florida and then back home to Colorado. Time now for another fun filled edition of...

QUESTIONS WITH TED ROSE...

What are your favorite movies or TV shows?

M*A*SH, Big Brother, Naughty Nurses (I think that one’s been cancelled) Uncle Buck, Planes, Trains & Automobiles

Boxers or briefs?

A used 7 Eleven Big Gulp with just a touch of Mountain Dew still in it.

What What would your advice be for someone who wants to get into radio?

Buy the 5 CD set “Chuck Nowlin’s Radio Primer,” including, “The Intern 10 Commandments” 1. Get coffee for DJ 2. Vacuum DJ’s car 3. Never make direct eye contact with DJ, etc. PLUS “How to throw a hissy fit when the station vending machine is out of Andy Camp Pub Fries.” And the classic “I’m exhausted-I worked 5 hours today!”

What do you do when you’re not at MAX?

Walk around the neighborhood in an open bathrobe yelling at kids who hit their waffle ball into my yard.

What’s the worst thing that ever happened to you while you were on the air?

I had a “vurp,” (that little burp that brings up a little lunch with it), during an interview with Kevin Cronin, which I breathed on him. I think he was REALLY impressed by my openness!

If you weren’t in radio, what would you be doing?

Time!!

Tell us something things no one knows about you.

I worked as a showgirl for the U.S.O. during the war. Also, I used to sell my body so that my family could eat…….needless to say we have three son’s who are very malnourished. I'm thinking of letting my mullet grow back out.

How many hotel rooms have you trashed in your radio career?

None that my Attorney will allow me to admit to!

If you were part of a Nudist Colony, what would your nickname be?

Big Fat Tiny.
