Not too many people know that I was born in Hong Kong… my Dad was a pilot stationed there at the time. The ‘wild’ streak is definitely an inherited trait ! 

I‘m pretty much your basic, raised on Rock n’ Roll American girl-next-door. I grew up loving the outdoors, sports, pick-up trucks and music. Spent my teenage years in South Florida; fighting frogs, snakes, hairy spiders and of course, gators.

I started working on the big horse training farms in Florida and eventually the racetracks starting when I was 14. It was my first taste of life in the fast lane. Most DJ’s are just average working stiffs with ADD and a smart mouth. I’m no different, always broke, always working for a living. Somehow managed to put myself through 4 years at the University of Florida and actually got my degree….Go Gators !!!   yeah I love football.

I started working in radio when I was 18… had absolutely no idea what I was doing, just said whatever and played everything I wanted and got in trouble.

After a stint on the air in Miami and learning audio engineering at the recording studios…I came out west for my sanity and the lure of the Rocky Mountains. Got a job in southern Colorado, working in the San Luis Valley mostly as a hired hand…learning cowology and how to not get bucked off my horse.

Main goal: staying alive! Living in the San Juans and Sangre de Cristo Mountains, wilderness guide for outfitters, kayaking, working at Wolf Creek Ski area it was the adventure of my life. 

This is where I got advanced training in being ‘one of the guys’…., 

This is where I became an adrenaline junkie.
